FALL CLINICS

REGISTRATION NO LONGER LIVE.

These clinics are designed to prepare the player for the Fall tryouts. All Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, U8 - U15 on-ice sessions include approximately 30 minutes of drills and 30 minutes of scrimmaging and are run by the Wayzata Head High School Coaches and WYHA Level A Coaches.

The fall mite program places an emphasis on skill development and lots of fun!
These clinics are open to only players registered in the Wayzata Youth Hockey Association.

All sessions are at Plymouth Ice Center (PIC).

Mite Shinny Hockey

The 2024 fall mite program places an emphasis on skill development and lots of fun! We believe this will provide all players with the best physical and emotional environment to develop skills and enjoy the game. Note: To ensure maximum schedule flexibility for all parents of Mite hockey players, all Mite sessions are open to both boys and girls.

Dates: September 28, 29, Oct. 5, 6

How Often: Four - One Hour Sessions

Note: If your child was a mini-mite during the 2023-2024 season, you should be registering for the Rookie/U6 Session.

Session 1 ADV/U8 8:30-9:30am

Session 2 ADV/U8 8:45-9:45am

Session 3 ADV/U8 9:45-10:45am

Session 4 ADV/U8 10:00-11:00am

Session 5 INT/U8 11:00-12:00pm

Session 6 INT./U8 11:15-12:15pm

Squirt Preseason Clinic

This clinic is designed to prepare the player for the Fall tryouts. Each session has one hour of on-ice training.

All Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam sessions are run by Wayzata High School Head High School Coach Pat O’Leary and WYHA Level A Coaches.

Dates: Sept. 23, 25, 27, 30, Oct. 2, 7 (Mon./Wed./Fri.)

Times: Session 1: 5:45-6:45pm

Session 2: 7:00-8:00pm

Session 3: 8:15-9:15pm

Cost: $156

Peewee / Bantams Preseason Clinic

This clinic is designed to prepare the player for the Fall tryouts. All on-ice sessions include approximately 30 minutes of drills and 30 minutes of scrimmaging.

Bantam Dates: Sept. 4, 6, 9, 11, 16, 18 (Mon./Wed. Except for one Fri. 9/6)

U8/U10 Preseason Clinic

These sessions are designed to prepare the player for the Fall tryouts. Each session has one hour of on-ice training. All sessions are fun by Wayzata High School Coaches and WYHA Level A Coaches.

Dates: Sept. 24, 26, Oct. 1, 3, 6, 8 (Tues./Thurs. except one Sunday (10/6)

Times: First Year Girls U8: 5:15-6:15pm

Second Year Girls U8/First Year Girls U10: 6:30-7:30pm

Second Year Girls U10: 7:45-8:45pm

U12/U15 Preseason Clinic

This clinic is designed to prepare the player for the Fall tryouts. All on-ice sessions include approximately 30 minutes of drills and 30 minutes of scrimmaging.

Dates: Sept. 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19 (Tues./Thurs.)

Times: First Year Girls U12: 5:30-6:30pm

Second Year Girls U12/First Year Girls U15: 6:45-7:45pm

Second Year Girls U15: 8:00-9:00pm

Goaltender Preseason Clinic

This clinic is designed to prepare the player for the Fall tryouts. The sessions are broken down by groups.

Pete Samargia of Attitude Goaltending and his staff will be running the goaltending clinic. Pete starts by teaches the teaching core fundamentals that are universal throughout the goaltending community, such as: proper stance, movement drills, and gap control. He identifying strengths and weaknesses within each individual goaltender and properly assesses and breaks down the weaknesses so that improvement can be seen in a session-to-session basis.

Dates: Sept. 4, 6, 8, 11, 15, 18

Times:

Session 1: Wed./ Fri. - 7:15-8:15pm; Sunday Times: 6:15-7:15pm (for Squirts, 1st year Peewees, Girls U10/U12)

Session 2: Wed./ Fri. - 8:30-9:30pm; Sunday Times: 7:30-8:30pm (for 2nd year Peewees, Bantams, Girls U15, HS)
