Carl
Davis played varsity hockey at Bloomington Jefferson High School where he earned
honors for captain and "Mr. Hustle" awards. He attended Mankato State University
and was a captain and four year letterman, again earning the "Mr. Hustle" award
for each of the four years played (1976-1979).
Carl has been involved with coaching and instructing hockey clinics all over the state of Minnesota. He began his coaching career in Mankato for the High School club team, followed by 15 years at Buffalo High School. In 1995, Carl started coaching for Wayzata High School. He currently concentrates his teaching within his own program of Wayzata.
Carl is married to Karen Davis, and has two sons -- Kyle, a 2005 graduate of Minnesota State University, and Kurt, who is currently playing hockey at Minnesota State University-Mankato in the WCHA. Pictured above with Carl is the family dog, Kodi (short for Kodiak Kid, Jr.).
